How To Get Stuck Shed Out Of A Leopard Gecko's Eye

My leopard gecko's eye looks submerged and wet. his other is nearly fully covered by shed that has not come off. i'm wondering if the former eye is this way because of complications from shedding.. @jodh: sorry about the late reply. if your leopard gecko has eye shed stuck on, the best thing to do is to warmly mist his eye area two to three times a day. force the gecko to lick the water from its eyes. i have done it before and it worked like a charm. in a few short days, the gecko licked the cap right off.. My gecko has shed skin that is stuck a little bit on his eye and also around the rim of his eye. he licks his eye but it doesnt seem to get off, and its too close to his eye for me to help him. i don't know how to get it off without injuring him, and i don't want to leave it because im scared it might... show more my gecko has shed skin that is.

6. how to treat a stuck shed. stuck sheds. stuck sheds are almost always the product of to low humidity during shedding time (the cage humidity should be low, but your leo should have a humid hide and have been misted). to cure put the gecko in a ventilated container with wet paper towels on the bottom.. My leopard gecko shed her skin yesterday and when she did, i saw she had a piece stuck to her eye. i took a wet q tip and wippped it out fine but now her eye lid looks a little swollen and she won't really open her eye..
